Real armor for scale planes

At last years NATS I built my P-40 planes using a simple yet amazing design for the fusalage. I used a two foot long piece of fence post (electric from TSC) glued in the center (side to side) starting at the front and just reaching the tail feathers. I placed it low enough to put the fuel tank on to...

Re: Realflight 7.5

Correct. You judge distance by plane size. The default view stinks. Hit the Z button 1 time and you will change from auto zoom to manual zoom. In manual zoom your plane will always be in the center of your screen and you can better see who is in front and behind you. You can zoom in or out with the ...

Re: National Electric Fly-In 2017

My club members flew full contact for two years and I flew with them. I broke equipment and lost battery packs so I stopped. They stopped a few months later for the same reason.

Realflight 7.5

Been flying all winter on Realflight 7.5 and the streamer cut with the Mustangs is realistic. The streamer cut with the foamies simulates the open classes well. Depth perception is hampered but an instant rebuild by hitting a reset button more than makes up for it.

Re: lone star nats 2017

I should have 4 new P-40's ready before next week. I was down to one damaged one at the end of the season. I need to rebuild my SSC bodies and am OK on wings. I have a few B bodies but need some more wings. Started shooting clays last Saturday. Will probably continue with that on weekends when I don...

I've been flying at least 5 days a week online from 9-10 EST. Real flight 7.5. Not perfect, but keeps the reflexes working.

Re: best 2.4 Ghz technology/products

I had a major damage to my Rx year before at the NATS due to extreme rain and wind. Got stuff dried out in rice. After about a year I started to get failure in those RX. I found the orange ones that I had been using were no longer available and the new ones were larger in size and price. I took a ch...
