Re: Happy 10th Birthday!!!!!
Guys, I would be lying if I said I didn't miss it, I do. I keep thinking about building up a couple and making a meet or two...one of these days, maybe. You know what I really miss? Me, Ed Scott and Jp pimping Cottontail all over God's green earth to try to get 2548 going...all the designs that we'r...

Re: GNAT
Hi everybody. I've been out of combat and the RCCA for a couple of years now. If I said I didn't miss combat, I'd be lying, I just like what i'm flying now a little better...but I think I could do this, easy build, no pressure, minimal rules.
Just need a couple of guys local here to fly against.

Anyway, I have 5 wings, 2 of which Evan Winger gave me, 2 stock Avenger wings, 1 Battle Axe wing, 2 Avenger f...

For anybody interested, the major dimensions that really matter in 3696 is the wing area and wingspan..can't be over 250 square inches, or bigger than 36 inches span, plus keeping the nose and tail moments reasonably to scale. Timo's Yak is 34 inches in span, has 225 square inches, and is very close...

Hi Timo, thanks for the kind words. I've gotten into Old-Timers, so I've been off the combat forums for a bit..I've found that I like to build..a lot[:)] Anyway, I think that the Y ak would make a good conversion to our 3696 class..I think it would hold up well as is, or a builder could build the fu...

Lee, I disassembled the shop...I was thinking about building a shop in the back yard, but Teresa just basically said to take over the whole garage...so I am[:D] I'll have room to build oldtimers, SSC birds, and other stuff without banging a wing into the wall, or tripping over everything I'm working...
