Well after putting the stock muffler with baffle and 10X4 MA prop (14,000 RPM) on my Open B plane, I can tell you that it was enjoyable. We didn't check weight, but I think it is within a few ozs of 3 lbs. I found I had to richen up the engine a lot more than normal, otherwise it would heat up,lean ...

I agree 100%. Make it a spec no taper wing, specify the airfoil, the cord and the span, and spec the tail feathers. Make the airfoil down loadable on The RCCA website. Now it becomes a contest of who is the best pilot. I am sure there are enough guys out there cutting wings that this can be done. Dr...

Finally got to fly the twin with some real SSC planes. It was more a test of the power system than the plane. I was slower and couldn't keep up in a climb, but that was due to weight, which I know I could shave 10 ozs or more off this plane. However 1 minor dirtnap filled both motors with sand and b...

I tried my mega 16/15/3 with an 8X3 prop. It takes way to many amps. the 6 X 4 was much happier. So I tried my hacker C40 12T. It was in the 40 amp range, but I will be damned if I am putting my $300 motor in Harms way. My next idea was a twin Long can 400. I was starting to test fly and my ESC died...
