Re: Georgia combat website
Found the Way Back Machine looking for the Georgia Gorilla build instructions. Wish it would've capture more of the images. But it is still kind of fun to see some of the older pages and images that were captured like Rick Fraley and his 60" & 66" TRex's from March 2002 https://web.arc...

David, your wing didn't SPOIL my FUN - but NEED avenger wings now - HA HA HA! Thanks.
Got the wing stripped and repairing the damage to it. Will have it back in the air and get George on it.

Had a GREAT weekend - Thanks Bruce, David and all of you that were there. It was a BLAST!
Limited B really felt different after flying SSC - plenty of power for yanking and banking and easier to launch. I described it as "Constant Speed Combat"!

Re: 15 PSI wing cores
You can also try flying combat at a lower altitude. The air is more dense and that should help strengthen your wings :D But High Impact aerobatics are spectacular from the higher altitudes. Sounds like the foam provides quite a bit of the wing's strength - hmmmmmmm. Might try some different armour ...

15 PSI wing cores
I'm dreaming of cutting my own wing cores for SSC and Limited B ships. The local lumber yard stocks 15 psi rigid foam insulation. I realize that 25 - 40 psi foam is ideal. But the 20 dollar question is how much strength does the foam contribute to a wing? Less dense foam would be more susceptible to...

Re: Some awesome tape
Wow Bruce - Sounds Great, picked up a roll and have re-covered a wing using it inplace of BiDi. Will see how it holds up. Running a hot iron over it seems to really seal it in good and pulls it into the corners. Missing covering from a "love tap" - Some one must really LOVE YA to rub it of...

Re: Some awesome tape
Lighter than BiDi sounds Great. What are you getting for a weight.
From the specs it looks to be twice as thick as BiDi at 12Mils.

Been flying and tweaking the evader - but can't seem to get it to land on a grass runway without cart wheeling tail over nose.
Have tried a couple of different shaped 1/8" lexan skids - but as soon as the skid touches it sticks. Any thoughts or ideas?
