I've been sitting on the sidelines reading and enjoying the fresh ideas. We have several guys inerested in combat but they only fly electrics. This class may be right us their alley with it's low initial investment. That would tickle me pink as I am tired of flying combat with myself[xx(] Bob and I ...

A belated thanks Ed, for the pictures. I had seen stories of the restoration, but not the pictures. The P-38 was Lefty's favorite plane of the many WW2 warbirds he owned over his long carreer. I had the pleasure of knowing Lefty while learning to fly at his FBO at the Brownwood Airport in the mid '6...

Well, I've been retired from competition combat for a couple of years, but after reading these same old smack downs by the same old smack talkers and seeing the same old and tired combat designs,,,,I just think I'll take a trip up to Fort Worth and put my old and tired Flat Bat up against this motle...

Bob, for a school teacher, you sure make that difficult.[:o)], and my thick head hasn't got it yet.[|)]

Lets leave out the combat analogy and convert it to a simple formula. I am a simple person [xx(] and require simple solutions.

ANOTHER STUPID QUESTION

Knowing the Mah battery rating and the amp draw of the motor, what is the equasion for determining the flight time?

I know Lee had it in one of his posts a looong time ago, but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks in advance.[8D]

Jimbo, that's all I fly, a flat bat with 48" reinforced coro wing. Not really competitive, but easy and cheap to build and fun to fly.

I wouldn't be any more competitive with a high tech "Whatever"[:)]

Glad you'r back.

WELCOME BACK JIMBO. Bring some fresh meat with you.

I do like flying at Jetero.[^]

Well, to correct the confusion, the previous post should have read, "I think I finished FLYING first"[:D][:D].

Now was that intentional, or just dreaming[?]

TEXAS STATE OPEN B CHAMPIONSHIP

We had a great Open B meet in Fort Worth yesterday with 15 pilots competing. Good weather, a great field, fine competitors, and Bob had everything ready to go. Sure enjoyed seeing the Co guys. They showed up in force. Lee flew an electric powered ship that was awesome. Just the sound of that thing s...

What about the Jetero Joust, Houston

Has anyone heard anything of the Jeterro Joust in Houston? I've lost Pat W's e-mail address. He held the contest last year the first weekend of Nov. I sure hope it's on, but it's not posted yet.[?] The Jetero field is a combat paradise. We had a great meet in Ft. Worth yesterday with 15 pilots from ...

Cash, how is the HXT 3536c motor performing? I purchased one and am having trouble getting the RPMs out of it. The amp pull is low, but it will barely make 9000 on a fully charged 3 cell A123 pack. Strange thing about this motor is it will turn the same RPMs no matter what size prop I put on it,,unt...
