Re: SSC coro p-47

I don`t know guys, but the fuse looks a little narrow to me  Oh, maybe it`s just the angle of the pic. Sorry, couldn`t pass it up.

Seriously that looks really good! What`s the RTF weight?

Re: Battle of Benbrook - April 17

Short for Flugewerks, or however you spell it. Scott and Ed modified the airfoil some on the Falcon kits they make. It is a noticable improvement over the airfoil that I was using.

Re: Battle of Benbrook - April 17

Oh yeah, the Cobra is a fast SSC ship and even better now with the new FW airfoil. The Battle Axe is a good stable gun platform, but it`s not fast at 17.5k.

Re: Battle of Benbrook - April 17

Somebody busted ya for speeding? What a jerk! You should cut that guys streamer off the next time you see him.

Benbrook sounds like a great time. Maybe we`ll find a few newbies from down there. Can`t wait!

Re: LSN 2010

We missed ya Sat and Sun Dane. I heard you came down with a bug. I hear the nerves can cause flu-like symptoms too.

Hope you`re doing better. See ya at Benbrook.

We missed the good weather by a day or two. Today was mid 70`s with zero wind!!! Man, I`d love to fly SSC on a day like today.

Re: LSN 2010

Even with the nasty wind, it was still a good time today. This is a great group of guys to fly with. I`m looking forward to a great season. The bad wind and some health issues kept on less than 6 local pilots from joining us today. I think we`ll hit 20 SSC pilots at some of the local events this yea...

Re: Maximum Motor Size

Brian, I think you are dead on the money with all of your observations and suggestions. With your experience with hipo electrics you fully understand the weight current limitations of getting that much power for a solid 5 min. Many folks without first hand knowledge just don`t see the whole picture....

Re: Maximum Motor Size

Thanks David. E-SSC has caught on pretty well in this area, with at least 8 pilots who flew NPS heats with E power last year. This year my flying partner Bob Leone is giving E-B a try with me. In fact he has his stuff ready for the LSN already. I`m still working on mine. Seeing others give it a try ...

Re: Maximum Motor Size

Evan and Gil, thanks. Since you guys are the guys that I "experiment" on  your opinion means a lot to me. If the total lack of respect that my personal Troll gives me, was what I saw at our N Texas contests, I would probably abandon flying E Open B and just accept that the only "...
