I wanted to see how the P-38 was going to handle with a streamer and what will happen when it gets hit, so I put it up. With the two booms and the tail arrangement on the P-38, Bob and I are debating about which method of attachement, glueing the whole plane together or using rubber bands, will last...

From the images, it looks like Petr cut a core (maybe just the bottom cut?), then warped the block by shimming up the tip and putting some heavy wieghts on it. It looks like there is another tip template that is used for a second cut to re-cut the tip???? Hmmmm, interesting.

Well, here’s my .02 worth. I think it would help if maybe Roy could create a webpage or area on the TexasCombat.com website that could serve as a main info point for pilots looking for information on 2548. It would make it easy to find links to the most current rules, the Readers digest version, a...

Well I was able to find the "Readers Digest" version of the rules by chopping up the URL to the official rules and browsing the files on Roy's website. Ok, so the readers digest says that all of the 2610 rules apply along with the 2548 rules. Duh. Why doesn't it specify that IN THE OFFICIA...

Hi Ed,
What did you cover your TA152 with before you painted it?

Ok, I've been trying to figure this out on my own, but I can't find the answer. I ASSUMED that the fuselage can be scaled up/down 10% just like in 2610. However, I can't find anything in the latest version of the 2548 rules which allows this. <b><i>3.1 Aircraft Requirements. 3.1.1 Types. The model m...

Dane McGee asked me if I'd help him out with the fuselage profile for a FW-190 for 2548. I used an image he sent me which came from one of Roy's CDs. I scaled the image so the wingspan was 48" then scaled it down 10%. The fuselage side profile is 5 3/8" wide at the widest point. How much d...
