I just got off the phone with one of the guys that run planethobby, he says the little .21 ($149.00) with a 8x4 or 8x5 runs about 85mph an a clean airframe, that it will hang with the 25 fx easy, the 28 is designed for high rpms, 7x8 or 8x8 props for racing. He also says that he will make custom venturies for these engines if you need them.

Dane, we didn't talk much about the .28, he did say that to get the max outta it you need the pipe he offers for it, but it won't be legal for open b because it's to long, I don' t think it would be a problem adapting a combat can to the header that it uses, I'm tempted.

Hundred dollar hamburgers and fly in pancake breakfasts, here I come!
I remember doing some work on my folks Ford Pinto, and the alternator looked vaguely familiar, like the one on the C150 I was flying. I talked to the mechanic, and he confirmed it was the same basic part, except for the nice TSO sticker which raised the price about 8x.
Gary, I don't think I could shoehorn my carcass into a Mini Imp ... got a Maxi Imp?

A lot of those high dollar high rpm engines are worthless in combat because they don't turn up without special pipes that are not legal. Save your $ and get cheap and rugged.
