Georgia combat website

Post by Dr. Kamakaze »

I can't remember where I saw it mentioned, but it would appear that the Georgia combat website is down:

www.georgiacombat.com

I don't know how many people were familiar with it, but there was info on the Georgia Gorilla plane which was a variant of the phencepost, info on repairing wings, engine break-in procedures, and probably more that I can't remember. Does anyone know what happened with the info contained at the website and would it be possible to link it under the RCCA website somewhere? It's too bad to see that info get lost for future beginners.

Thanks Bob! I e-mailed Lou & Don...perhaps there's a way to incorporate it under the workshop section of the forum.

I had no luck getting in touch with Lou.

But did find some of the content on the Way Back Machine:

Thanks for the link on the way back machine...I never heard of that before. I was particularly looking for the engine info contained there. The break-in procedure for the OS 15 LA listed there is what I've done before.

Found the Way Back Machine looking for the Georgia Gorilla build instructions. Wish it would've capture more of the images.

But it is still kind of fun to see some of the older pages and images that were captured like Rick Fraley and his 60" & 66" TRex's from March 2002

The GeorgiaCombat website in its entirety with all its files have been given to the RCCA. Don Grissom, the RCCombat webmaster is working on getting them posted. Stand by for his updates.

Here is a link to the main page. A lot of links do not work yet. The site will require me to re edit each page.

I was really busy over the holidays but should get it working soon. Lou i should get your card in the mail asap. I completely forgot about it.
