The best scissors for cutting Bi-directional tape?

Post by ZenManiac »

The glue on most bi-directional tape is great. But after a few cuts, the glue starts sticking to the scissors blades. And after a few more, you've got to get out the acetone and clean it.

I accompanied my wife a few weeks ago on some shopping errands, and found myself killing time at JoAnn Fabrics while she looked for some fabric. I found some scissors, Fiskars Titanium-coated blades that are NON-STICK for tape. I've tried it on some bi-di tape, and some ridiculously-gluey double-sided carpet seam tape, and it works GREAT!

The scissors retail for around $11, and in my book is $11 well spent.

Also cuts kevlar, if that's in your workshop.

That looks like a great idea, and just in time for Christmas too! My wife will love it...I just need to make sure I know where she keeps it so I can use it

Finally, a par of scissors that makes life easier!!!
An excuse for my wife to go to Jo Ann's - That will cost me more than the scissors.
Thanks for the info. :D
