Book Review

If it flew combat between 1935 and 1955, here's the place to talk about it!
Also a great place to talk about Competition!

Book Review

In my attempts to research my 2548 BF-109 I found the following book that I thought others might find interesting.

“Jagdwaffe Blitzkrieg and Sitzkrieg Poland and France 1939 – 1940â€

David, I might have to check that out. I have been building a small library of aviation books in general, and WWII specifically, for the past 10 years or so. If it looks cool, and I have the cash, I buy it..only problem is that I have no organisation to it all yet, but that will change soon..

Cash,

I really think these books are a great resource for modelers and any scale builders. It looks like the author is writing an entire series. Looking on Amazon.com I see:

Birth of the Luftwaffe Fighter Force (Jagdwaffe Series)

The Spanish Civil War (Jagdwaffe Series)

Attack in the West, May 1940 (Jagdwaffe Series)

Battle of Britain: Phase One July-August 1940 (Jagdwaffe Series)

Battle of Britain Phase Two: 1940: Section 2 (Jagdwaffe Series)

Battle of Britain Phase Four: November 1940-June 1941 (Luftwaffe Colours, Volume 2, Section 4 Jagdwaffe)

Jagdwaffe: The Balkans April-May 1941

Battle of Britain Phase Three, September-October 1940 (Luftwaffe Colours, Volume 2, Section 3: Jagdwaffe)

Jadgwaffe Volume 3: The War in Russia

Barbarossa: The Invasion of Russia June-December 1941 (Luftwaffe Colours, Volume 3 Section 2: Jagdwaffe)

So there is plenty to pick from (He has other books also).

Question: On your 109 how wide is the wing at the tip? On my first one I made it 6â€
