2009 AMA Rulebook

If it flew combat between 1935 and 1955, here's the place to talk about it!
Also a great place to talk about Competition!

<font size="3"><font face="Arial">All proposals submitted to AMA have passed. Of particular interest to scale fliers are the rules relating to 48" span, scaling to 10% consistently in each direction, and powerplant changes. Please click on this link to read the full proposals:

To make sure I'm getting this right, 2610 now allows 1/12th scale +/- 10% or scaled to 48 inches, with the provision that no plane exceeds 48" wingspan, regardless of what the 1/12th size would be? This would theoretically allow the same airframe to fly in 2548 and 2610 with a prop change?

Crash that should be correct. Just a reminder these rules don't go into affect till 2009

Thanks. I'm hoping the rules can get me into more classes with less planes....One common plane for scale classes, and another for open/SSC.

2548 would still require the LIST.[8] It has been suggested to me that all rules discussion be taken to the members only section further down the forum. Please do.

How do you get access to the members only forum?

Thanks, Terry
