For the doubting Thomases out there, we flew several heats of Limited 1/2A at Hillside last weekend in probably 15-20 mph winds, very gusty and turbulent, and the planes handled it surprisingly well. Even mine, which was laden with streamers! Jay Fromm's, Don Veres', and Sean Rupp's streamers!!! It was fun to be able to land while moving backwards into the headwind. Despite the horrible turbulence, the planes handled it well and still flew nicely!

The only thing Scott got correct in his post is that the airplanes flew very well in very high winds. Winds were probably closer to 25 mph gusting 35. VERY WINDY. As for streamer cuts, my airplane was the obvious airplane draped with streamers. I do have to admit that Scott, Cory, Sean and Don did some very impressive flying though.
