Using Great Planes Flight Simulator for "Open"

Post by dareman »

The new Great Planes Real Flight Rocks!

You can log into the multi player mode and have several planes flying at once. Your name is in small letters so you know who is flying.

It even has a chat window so you can "talk" with one another as you are flying.

The only down side is you are limited to aircraft. The Extra Special would probably work well. Especially with smoke as a streamer.

We were using P-51 to fly in a group.

Not might not be a bad idea when gas prices hit 4.00 this Spring.

Sounds great. There is no substitute for actually flying with your buddies but when weather stops flying altogether it could keep you sane. I plan on spending my wife's pension on gas money since I spend mine on planes. I can stand to lose some weight anyway.[;)][:)]

Either the G3.5 or G4.0.
I am using the 3.5 and flew a P-51 Mustang the other night with several multi Players on the net.
