It is extra awesome since this was Dirk's first event. We had rain issues with wind on Saturday and wind up to 35 mph on Sunday. Everyone had a great time. Spectators and TV enjoyed being at the meet. Plan on it for next year!

Many thanks to Dirk, his family, and the Davenport Radio Control Society for being such gracious hosts. The flying field was WIDE open at the sod farm and it was great to see the enthusiasm of the local club members hosting their first RCCA combat event. Dirk did a great job being a CD and running his first event to try to make it as safe as possible given the high winds. I'm looking forward to next year's event already and am still savoring the flavor of that great Iowa pork chop...I've barely eaten since, I'm still stuffed! Well done Dirko. Did the news station air the footage they shot? If so, it would be neat to see if the link to it could get posted here.
See ya in Green Bay in a couple weeks...

I have the short video recorded. We hope to add it to our club website. Top finishers and photos should be added to our Facebook page today.

The Duel at Davenport was a ton of fun. Thanks so much to Dirko and Pam for the hospitality!!

I just got home last night, as I went over to visit my daughter and family directly from the Quad Cities.

Dirko, the neighbor kids found the engine you lost at the Dogfight over Dovre. It appears to be in perfect condition. I'll hang on to it until we meet at a future event.

Lookin' forward to next year's Davenport Duel.
