Battle iver Brenham VIII

Post by Quickdraw »

The BoB VIII started out hot and windy and ended hot, windy and wet.

We had 8 pilots signed up for SSC on Saturday. It was hot with 20-25 mph all day. Fortunately the wind was right down the runway. Kudos to all pilots for safe launches and landings.

8-Bob S. 1000 (6 rounds) had trouble with the needle valves on his esc
7-Rad 1040
6-Dan B 1676 ( owner Williams Brothers Model Products)
5-Mike C 1680
4-Dave H 1692 (supplied the most valuable tool-aircraft retrieving 4 wheeler)
3-George P 2236
2-Bill S 2624
1- David E 5280 (10 cut round/only took 20 years)

We had 9 pilots signed up for Limited B including first timer Douglas Wallace who's planes were loaners from George Prichett.

The day started out hotter with more wind and a few brief rain showers. The contest was called after 7 rounds due to thunder boomers and lighting. The sky opened up just as most pilots got their equipment under the shelter.

9-Bob S 340 (2 rounds, more esc needle valves issues)
8-Doug W 360 ( -400 line violation). hope to see him back in November
7-Rad 756
6-Mike C 1000
5-Dave H 1180 (has airline captain bragging rights over Mike C at least until November)
4-George P 1300
3-Bill S 1640
2- Dan B 1772
1- David E 2240

A big thank you to the Brenham RC Airplane club and it's members for hosting another combat contest.
