My SPAD combat fleet

Post by adamdb »

I hadn't posted a pic in awhile so here goes. This is my 2005 coro combat fleet

Image

The lower right hand bird is SSC, 48" wingspan, ~450 sq. in., aluminum L channel fuse. OS LA .15 for power.

The other two are Open B planes. The upper right is my experiment with long wingspan, 64" span and fully symmetrical airfoil. C channel aluminum for a fuse. The upper left is 48" span flat bottomed airfoil with a C channel fuse. Both use mousse canned Norvel .25s for power. Of the two I think I prefer the 48" job. It launches hands off and is seriously quick.

And this one I built just for fun:

Image

32" wingspan, 192 sq. in., Norvel .061 for power, 2 channels and 13oz. I am tentatively calling it CPR, because I may need some after flying it. Wing, ailerons and tail feathers are all 2mm coro with a 3/8" sq. stick for a fuse.

JJ,
Yea, the bottom one is 1/2A. I was not planning on bringing it to MHM. I got the idea for it after seeing your electric. Haven't test flown it yet.

I have my coro 2548 Fulmar and the two Open B planes for this Saturday.
