Ok.........Ilynn got me the 5.5 simulator.

Dave,

Bob, myself and others host pretty often. I see most activity between 8PM and 10PM EST. Look for streamer cut and many name their sessions something like "Chasing Tail "...which I think is Bob's hosting ID.

Most seem to prefer "Manual Zoom" . Change the zoom mode by pressing "Z" and use the + and - keys to change it until you find a setting you like. Preferences also seem to differ between the different planes, so one setting may not be idea for all planes and/or fields.

I'm in FL now and may be back on 5.5 late next Tuesday. I have a school board meeting earlier on Tuesday evening. I zoom out pretty far on the warbirds and zoom in more for the foamies.

We got it up and running last night and had some fun chasing streamers. Beau flew most of the rounds last night, really enjoyed it, i may have to see if we can setup multiple user accounts. There must be a better view of the action than what Im seeing, most of the targets are off the screen. It must be easir online to get cuts, i had a couple scores over 1000 per round and saw Bob had a coupl eover 2000 a round, that would be a new record day for sure!

Sean, hit the "Z" key on the keyboard for manual zoom. "+" will zoom in and "-" will zoom out. Just hitting the z key works for me. You may want to zoom out a little more for the warbirds and in a little for the foamies. You may also want to get a headset at Walmart. Logitech $15 works fine. That way you can enjoy the smack talk. I won't be back on till Monday evening since I'm leaving for the West Palm meet Thursday. I have a dinner funtion to go to tonight so I might be on later than normal. Someone else should be hosting a streamer cut at the Santa Clara County Model Airpark and I will join in when I get back. Tomorrow night I will be in a closed session with the Knife edge guys to see if we can find out how they can fix the bugs. When changing from one type of plane to another, some of the connections are lost, especially if you have more than 4 pilots in the session.

I noticed that, it kept kicking us off last night as well as freezing planes in the screen and responding slower. The message that kept coming up said somethign about capacity of the host server.

Write down any message of that type. Any documented stuff can be helpful to Knife Edge.
