Want Nats Pictures?

Post by boilermaker »

Check out a few pictures from 7 rounds of SSC on Friday in Muncie:
http://www.indianacombat.com/gallery

One of the more exciting moments of the day - I think Round 7, heat 2 - There are three planes left up with a total of maybe 16 inches of streamer still in play divided between two planes. Lee tracked that Gorilla for about 30 seconds before cleanly cleaning Lou of his last 10 inches of streamer.

Scott,

Are those pictures with the 70-200 F/4L cropped any? I wasn't sure whether it would take 200 or 300 mm to get good combat pictures. Were both those at the 320 equivalent focal length?

Great photos and reports.

Thanks.

Alex, they're definitely cropped... some in the gallery are 100% crops. All of the in-flight shots were shot at the long end of the lens. The one below is uncropped 320mm equivalent.
