I did not find much in the way of SSC plans on the web, so I decided to design my own and post the plans here. My design is heavily influenced by the "McGrizz Bat" but is not an exact copy of it. Build one and let me know what you think.

If you are a novice at building SPAD’s I would highly recommend you to read the following before beginning this project:

"Flaming" or "Flashing" Coroplast
Decorating a Spad
Coroplast Hinging Tool
1. Cut out tail feathers from 4mm Coro. Hinge the elevator by cutting away half of one flute. The flute you want to cut is six (6) flutes forward from the trailing edge. Add coloring via paint or colored packing tape as desired.

WING ADDENDUM
I have learned it would be best to have the flutes on the bottom sheet running in the direction of the span and the top sheeting to run in the direction of the chord.
Plans and instruction have been modified accordingly.

2. Make the wing spars from a yardstick. (check for straightness) Cut the yardstick in half. Each half will be approximately .6â€

5. The flat bat, which will become the fuse, cut off the very end of the bat (the end opposite the handle). If you want any down and/or right thrust, cut the desired angle using a band saw. I use 2° down and 2° right thrust. Make the firewall from a poly cutting board or ¼â€

Nice build post. Those flat bats have been around for a long time. Some are still seen in nitro SSC but I think they are even better in electric.

I think bat planes are great! I've got a bunch of bats in the shop...

Need to get them built up and given to some potential combat pilots.

ADDENDUM
I have learned it would be best to have the flutes on the bottom sheet running in the direction of the span and the top sheeting to run in the direction of the chord. I also had left off the direction the flute’s ran on the tail feathers.
Plans and instruction have been modified accordingly.
