Kind of slow / another build

Post by Don Holmes »

It has been kind of slow here so after the Spitfire MK XVI last week I though I would start something new.
I had a 2nd A6M5 'Zeke' so I started on it Monday. Choosing a color was the fun part..
This one gets a new ASP .28

Very nice looking bird. Whats the weight?Do you have any rpm numbers with the asp engine with a 10x4 prop? The asp .15's seem to be a good engine.

This Zero came in at just over 54oz I have put her up 3 times and it flies good but i have not checked the RPMs yet.
The ASP 25s and 28s that I have are turning in the high 13,000 or low 14,000 with changing the amount of nitro and oil
we can keep up with most. But the new Magnum .25XLS is HOT and in the new Spitfire Mk. XVI nothing can touch it.

The ASP .15 is like the .15XLS and are good. The asp 25 is like the old .25XL and not like the new XLS, so when they were unloading the old XL style I picked up a few.
