Why is it when I had you tape my wing it didn't look nearly that smooth?
Really did you think I would go there.

In viewing this I get to wondering if we should change combat events to 2610, getting back to a cleaner looking plane... It would make the CD's life easier in recognizing scale without all of the roughness of the tape & paint.

I'm not flying scale but this is my 2c. We need to remember it's stand off scale. To an outside observer (me) that means 'looks like a ....., viewing from 20' away. Yep.. some will look better than others and most will look better than the 'oft repaired but still a good flyer' bird. Get out the tape measures and start measuring and the resurgance of combat scale will end.
Hit those wrinkles with a heat gun after a week of setting and they'll all disappear.

I agree with Evan. I stopped flying 2610 after the last round of Rule changes that outlawed "war weary" airplanes (among other details).EK wrote:I'm not flying scale but this is my 2c. ALL my planes looked "war weary" at that point!

I think Bill was poking a little fun at 2610... I sense a little sarcasm!

I had to laugh when I looked at the first pdf article from the Nats over in the Nats topic. Control line Navy and there it was... the Fairy Fulmar..then I read that they allow prototypes too!! OMG !
Maybe we need to take a look at their rule set ? I guess 2610 was pretty bad..

Re: Zero killer!
Terry, bad enough that there was NO 2610 at the NATS!The End wrote:..................... I guess 2610 was pretty bad..
A whole 7 pilots flew 2948, including me with planes that I built for both classes (with a prop change) but are no longer allowed in 2610!
Pretty sad
