Joe,
Its good to hear from you. Still in Houston? Love you SSC Scale Warbird at the 2004 Dixie Nats at Hodges Hobbies in Andersonville, Georgia.

Another day at the office for Sean Galt. He still flies RC, mostly gliders.

Hi good people. I didnt know combat was still around. I dont have anyone local to fly with in the last few years so I took up guitar playing and motorcycle riding. It sure was fun while it lasted. I still have some combat planes hanging in the shop collecting dust. Cant bring myself to get rid of them. Maybe I'll see yall around some day.

Damn, Jimbo it's really good to hear from you. Talk about a voice from the past or is it "voice from the dead! I sure missed you here on the forums. Probably a long drive for you but you might consider coming to the Lone Star Nats in March here in DFW. We sure would be glad to see you after all these years absent!

Re: Nom de Plume - where are they now
Holy H-ll....I'd forgotten how ugly he actually was, no wonder I had to move 850 miles away
I think it was 2005 and Jimbo and I were having a blast flying our Spec 48" flatbats out at LARKS field and anywhere else in the area that would have us and then early that fall Katrina and then Rita hit and to be honest I don't think I've flown an RC plane since...In the summer of 2006 the family and I relocated to the St. Louis area in order for my wife to take a new position for her company...I hit a few of the local clubs after first moving here but most either didn't fly combat or a few didn't even know what it was so like Jimbo most of my combat stuff sits tucked in it's corner of our basement....There's a slight chance that my wifes job may bring us back to the old stomping grounds in the future so maybe if/when that happens I'll get the combat thing going again...
Paris event of 2003 still is one of the greatest RC memories I have....I missed the top 10 by less than one cut with some of the greatest combat fliers ever assembled...My little brother Jared had come along with Jimbo and I to just help and I threw him into the fray and the kid flew ONE of my 48" Raptors for six rounds and came in somewhere around 20th....add to that just the great time and comradery that was there and for Jimbo, Jared and I the drive up and back provided more laughs than I can think of...
Good times!!!
