Going off the wall on a project, need some help

Post by NAES »

Not RC Combat related directly but my next PSS subject is going to be an FW-189 recon/fighter. Maybe someone will want to build one as well for combat.

Does anyone have some deicent 3 views of this thing? The main part I'm having trouble coming up with is a scale outline of the center pod. I would like it to look fairly scale and that is going to be a major detail (and a major PITA[:p])

And in case you don't know the bird

and the much simpler (relatively speaking) fighter variant

Thanks as usual, NAES

Sean,

Try William Green's Warplanes of the Third Reich as a starting point. I checked my CD of plane drawings, but it does not contain the small pod cockpit. What is the full designation of the version you want to build (e.g. FW-189B-2)?

Thanks for the link Ed and o1moregil.

I found a 3 view that includes the center pod. It also includes many drawings that look like factory scans from the manual. Very interesting.

I'll either be building an A-2 or B-2 observation platform version. I really like the glasshouse of a cockpit they have.
