Hi Henrik, did you get a Yak airborne yet?

In Germany we sometimes have 1/4 to 1/2 of the pilots with electric powered planes. There are differences in the behavior (better climbing with electric, better dive with combustion engines), but all in all the chances to win depend on the pilot himself. Average speed is the same.

According to the different engine/model sizes for 2,5, 3,5 and 4cm³ we have three classes for electric ones. Accumulator size is limited and for the prop there's a formula which multiplicates rpms, prop size and pitch. I would prefer a more simple rule, but actually it works and until now we haven't found a better solution. Electric and combustion engines are different in the air, so are the rules - props on electric ones are bigger and rpms lower.
Most important thing for us is to keep all pilots together. Together with electric planes we got growing numbers of participants over the last years. Every party itself would be too small.
