Replacment Motor

Post by combatgoblin »

I have 550 brushed motor I would like to replace with a brushless
motor. Specs are 550 1800mah 9.6v 8oz. I would like to reduce it to
7.2v and shave some weight one the motor. This is a glider and is direct drive I have flown the same size and weight airplane on a geared 2:1 370 600mah.It took it up slow and very high it just took a while speed is not important.

I would look at the Scorpion 30-14-22 motor. http://www.innov8tivedesigns.com/produc ... cts_id=206

It weighs 4.3 ozs. is a relatively low KV and is good for up to 550 watts.

What is the weight of your glider?
