I like it! A real potential for 1/2 A rc combat. What's the wingspan?

34" span, 7" chord at the root, and 5" at the tips. With the Norvel .061 it would easily loop from level flight with surprising vertical performance. It weighed 13oz. with the .061. It has a yardstick spar that is 1/2" tall at the center and 1/4" at the ends. It also doesn't seem to mind a decent breeze. I have flown it in a wind that had some of the more conservative members of the club packing up for the day.

is it a regular 2mil wing with 4mil ailerons?

looks good.

bob is right. limited 1/2a is ideal for this type of electric plane

Slam............ Requested more specs!
I just thought that I would give you guys something else to pick apart and argue about. You know me always stirring something up. I am working on the build thread for <b>The Devil's Stick</b> over on www.rcparkfighters.com

May I suggest that if you build one you build the FFF model first it takes less than an hour to build less radio install. After flying that one lets see what we can do to get the coro plane to perform like the FFF.

Slam,
It is a 2mm wing with 2mm ailerons and 2mm tail surfaces.

just test flew my latest design and it looks like a keeper.

still have to do some tweaks on the fuse but overall it seems like it will do what i want it to do.

the fuse pod will hold the 3150 3s battery for ssc and 4400 4s for open b. just have to move it on the wing for different battery weights.

and it's finally a pusher.Image

60" span and a weight of 45oz with the 4s batteries.

just couldn't get away from a bat for a fuse[:D]

Cool, is that a large outrunner for the motor? What motor are you using?

lee,

i've been using a mega 16/15/4c for the last events. it spins a 8x3 prop at 17500 or just above. with a 3150mah 3s battery it lasts just over 5.5 minutes.

the flying wing boys are getting extreme speed out of this motor going to a 4s power pack (and a bunch or battery)

the mega 16/15/4c has a 5mm shaft and costs too much for ssc.

the wing boys have been using an HET 4 wind motor that they say is just the same (except for a smaller shaft), this motor easily fits in the $ limit of ssc. i didn't want to use a smaller shaft on a pulller, and a pusher seems to be logical for an electric combat plane anyway.

with a pusher, an outrunner isn't out of the question.
