Not really combat related but still interesting. This beautiful eight turbine powered B-52 crashed recently, I believe in England.

That thing looks like it had problems from the moment it took off. It was very unstable

Mark, from what I've read about it and seen on video clips, it is powered by kerosene/JP-4 fuel. It had 8 turbines (time $3-4K each). In the earlier tapes it seemed to be pretty stable. From looking at the tentage/tarps in the foreground before takeoff it looked pretty gusty. Not sure what caused the crash though. Pretty sad[V]

WOW, too bad. Super nice plane reduced to rubble. I guess that is why I don't build fancy planes.
