If you're new to combat, you probably have a bunch of question. Check here first, 'cuz its most likely been asked before. (..and there's no such thing as a stupid question).

Streamer Attachment Location

Where and How is the String/Streamer attached to the Aircraft. I was thinking the CG would be the best location but may be wrong.

Thanks.....Dave

Most of the time I just loop the string around the tail of my scale fighters, and use a rubber band on the vertical stab to hold it ready for launch. On my Cobras (flying wings) I have a screw eye near the CG, or I just loop it around the engine mount. I'm not sure that it really matters where and how it is attached, as long as it stays on and stays out of the prop!

I usually attach it to the tail of the airplane wherever it won't interfere with the elevator. Which usually means an inch or two up on the rudder. The farther forward you get it (i.e. at the CG) the more stuff there is to get tangled up in.
