Webra .25 and dirtnaps

Post by montague »

I've noticed a tendancy on my Webras for the crankshaft to move back and hit the backplate on really hard sticks. It's easy to fix with a torch and wooden dowl, but rather annoying. It seems that the thrust washer and collet arragement doesn't seem to put the imact loads on the front bearing like the OS's thrust washer. I've actually seen the brass tapered collet extend just a hair past the thrust washer, that's the big clue that it's time to re-seat the crankshaft again.

Anyone else having these problems? I don't consider it a huge issue, not enough to keep from running these monsters.
