Try Lowe's. In the plumbing department they have a rack with lots of O rings. If you can't find what you need there, go to the hardware department where they have the slide out drawers and you can buy them one at a time.

Locally try Grainger or Weathertrol, maybe even Turners hardware in Farmers Branch?, on Josey, I think. I've had nothing but good service from McMaster-Carr if you're going to order.

I tried Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hdw, Plumbing supply.........no dice.

McMaster Carr was my next choice , but wading thru the sea of o-ring sizes and materials would be a cluster considering I have no idea what size to even begin to ask for.

I was kinda hoping someone else had ordered before and found the right part number and could hook a brother up

Dane, it's been awhile since i tried the mcmaster site but it's pretty good. you search for o-rings, you will need to select english or metric, and then enter id and thickness. the id should be pretty easy, if you have dial calipers, check the diameter of the needle groove where the oring fits. then check the diameter right next to the groove, the difference will be approx. the thickness of the oring. you will want the oring to be a bit proud of the OD of the needle, for sealing. then you will need to select material, last time I recall the choices were buna or nitrile, nitrile is more durable but more expensive

Dane: By the time you pay for postage, it would probably be cheaper just to get them at Roy's or Mike's, especially if you have to go over there for fuel or something

Ok, after wading thru a sea of choices, I was finally able to find a suitable replacement for OS needle valve and carb to case Orings.

Available from McMaster-Carr, here are the part numbers to save others the frustration of running down the correct selection......and at a fraction of the cost of OEM replacement.

Needle valve O ring Silicone: part # 9396k63 http://www.mcmaster.com/#9396k63/=5y3ae1 $4.22 per 100

Carb O ring Viton: part # 9263k286 http://www.mcmaster.com/#9263k286/=5y3bbe $4.59 per 25

Just for the heck of it I tested the needle valve oring under pressure submerged in a glass of water.....no leaks at any needle position.

Thanks Dane. Someone should gather all the non oem parts we use and list them in the workshop or a special thread so they are easy to find.
