Hellcat build-up?

If it flew combat between 1935 and 1955, here's the place to talk about it!
Also a great place to talk about Competition!

Do a search on Hellcat on this forum. We have talked about the Hellcat quite a few times. There are some great kits out there too. Click (home) and go down to the links bottom for web sites on scale kits.

Darin Bellis where are you? Darin had an article or at least some pictures of a Hellcat he cut from foam. It might have been in a foam cutting article.[8D]

RedFred1, I found they article in question or at least an article on the foam Hellcat. Go to Building Tips and Tricks, click on General. Click on articles from the last year, go to page 3 scroll down to "Foam Cutting Power Supply. There you will find some pictures of a Hellcat Darin Bellis cut from foam. Hope this helps.[8D]

Fred,
I built one Hellcat, here's a link to the thread:

Here's a pic of the finshed product:

If you can find one, the Zigg's Originals Hellcat kit is a nice one. If you want to take a shot at cutting your own, drop me a line and I'll help as best I can.

Looking for Hellcat??

I have made Hellcat drawings, you can load them on ACES German homepage /Baubrett/ downloadable files. There is also step by step building instructions.

I have made about dozen of those and they have all been quite good. Instructions are for 1:12 but it is easy scale them. Take a look.

That link has some nice stuff - I just can't read most of it. There is a really sweet looking C3603! One of my favorites. I like the turboprop re-engined versions...nice.
Is there an english version of the site or did I just miss the boat on it?
Anyway, thanks for the help everyone. A friend of mine has the Gus Morfis plans so we will just work from those.
