3696 Servos - What to use?

Post by Alex Treneff »

I just got 4 Futaba s3114 Micro HT servos in the mail from tower to use instead of HS-81 MGs on my P-51, and these guys sure are small. Are these similar to what others are using? They're just so small!

What is everyone else using?

While these small servos, and all others will work. I find them to be a bit fragile for combat rigors. The do seem to hold up better in the elevator position than at aileron. So I have for the most part switched back to hs 81MGs. These planes are so light that a 1/2 oz really doesn't matter. If you feel you must use a micro servo have a look at HS-65 MGs.
