Ssc piper cub

Post by Bruce B »

Our official texoma rc club line judge , Jerry, has decided to be a combat pilot. He loves old timer type planes so we decided that a "cartoon scale " cub would be great for him. Got a wing and fuse cut and glued today. Working on covering wing tonight. Hope to finish fuse tomorrow and get it covered. Here are the specs so far.
60" wing with a 9 inch chord. 24 inch fuselage and we traced the tail from a parkzone supercub then went a little bigger. Power will be an os la .15. Even with full size servos it looks like it's gonna be a little light.
Best of all since its a cub, He has agreed to just fly big left circles.. Bet that don't last long.

Yes Don, it has flown several times , just not in combat. It is alive and well though and has been fitted with a rudder and some of those little black round things that hang underneath it. Currently being used as a trainer for a future combat pilot. I'll see what I can do about pics.

Where did the black balls come from? I said little round black things. Guess the black balls must be a Kansas thing.
