Battle over Brennan VII

Post by Quickdraw »

We had 8 enthusiastic number for BoB VII. We had one newbie join usand a first timer in limited b.

Saturday
The decision to fly Limited b on Saturday turned out to be the right one. 20 mph winds before lunch. Variable 25-30 mph winds after lunch. Cuts were hard to come by.

1 David Ebers 3276
2 Evan Wenger 2980
3 Mike Callaway 1596 (third event, first limited b with borrowed planes)
4 George Prichette 1400
5 Bill Sidney 1172
6 Daniel Brett 1088 (owner William Brothers Model Products)
7 Bob Starr 440 ( electric power- kept running oit of fuel-only flew four rounds)
8 Mark Hendricks ( newbie with borrowed planes)

Sunday
Beautiful day for SSC combat with light winds all day right down the runway.
This is the tale of two events, before lunch and after lunch. Before lunch we seemed to be hitting each others planes instead of streamers. We all had one issue or another. Bob kept running out of fuel with his electric again.

After a magical meal of meat loaf, tators, corn and some green beans all pilots stepped up their game. Few midairs, the streamers were flying and the Bob had enough fuel in his electrics. The last two rounds were some of the best combat I've seen in awhile. It was a lot of fun.

1 David Ebers 4044
2 George Prichette 2634
3 Bill Sidney 2220
4 Evan Wenger 2100
5 Mike Callaway 1860
6 Bob Starr 1246
7 Daniel Brett 960

The Brenham R/C Airplane Club thanks the pilots for traveling to this event and look forward to hosting again in 2018.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING YALL!

Thanks, David, Mike, Mark and the entire Brenham RC club for putting this together. Flying was good even with the wind on Saturday causing a few strange and unpredictable maneuvers with the planes. George had troubles most of Saturday but pulled it all together on Sunday with his cobras. :D I took a lot of his and have some repairing to do. Broke 2 fuses at the Oct contest and only 1 this time. Guess I'm improving
Hoping for good weather for Shermans Dec combat.
