My remote needle valves have been discontinued

Post by Dr. Kamakaze »

I tried to order more of the remote needle valves that I've been using for years. Dr. Evil had told me about them and I've really liked them because they aren't real sensitive when adjusting unlike the stock needle valves on the back of the OS engines we all used to cut off before they broke. I have been plugging the needle valve on my Magnums with an old glow plug (thanks for the tip Bob Loescher) and am running out of my stock of remote needle valves.

I've been using OS engines part #21181902 and have been told they are discontinued, what is everyone else using?
I appreciate your help!

See ya at the NATS!

My fox remote needles have been great and have also been discontinued. Court Jarret of TX has been using the Magnum xls 25 remote needle valve assembly for $8 from Hobby people.

Awesome! Thanks Bob for yet another good tip. I would assume it would work with a 15 as well...

Tower has a couple. One due in mid May, the other is order pending.
LXMW56 and LXGCV3.
I added them to my wish list.

Bob, you are correct as well. Mike at Magnum has the 25 xls remote needle assembly in stock.

Have you tried the OS LA40 unit https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMW56 from Tower Hobbies? Works for me.
In fact, if you already have needles, the body alone is available at https://www.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wt ... LXMW57&P=V

Probably not guys. Combat is dead in this part of the world.
I sold my truck and fifth wheel as Jill has problems traveling more than a couple of hours, which doesn't get us very far.
My combat planes are still lying in the heaving heap after Goldman's event 3 years ago!!
That and I got pretty burned out with the building/repairing routine.
