I will have the very first Beta copy ready to go here shortly! It's compiled, just need a quick test to see how see does, then I'll put in the gallery.

I made this version expired at the end of the month sense it's just a beta release.

I've enclosed part of the readme. Take a look at it because that's the only documentation for the program that there is at this point!

I've uploaded the new file as an Installation Package. Let me know if you have any problems.

Chunky,

It looks great.

However I can't get any pilots added.

When I enter pilot information and click "Add New" it gives me a warning that this action will erase all pilots in the list. Then the pilot I was attempting to add diaspears from the list.

It's a very nice interface and easy to use.[:)]

Alex,

I was just getting ready to post a bug report on this. I just found it too.

There will be more so just post them here and I'll get them taken care of. If there's a work around I'll post it.

BUG #1 - When you click "Add New" It will attempt to clear the Pilots list after it adds the new pilot.

Work Around - Click "No" and the Pilot will be added.

I added a few V1 text files that you can d/l so that you can use the Load Pilots Option.

Bug #2 - Program will hange (Stop Responding). It's hanging on trying to add freq conflicts to the matrix. It was found using LSN's Open B file with Rounds >= 5, Heats = 3.

It will hang on round 5, Heat 3, second position.

Work Around - NONE. Don't add that combination to the matrix configuration.

You can stop the program on Window 2000 / Xp by right clicking the taskbar and select "Task Manager". Find Matrix V2.exe in the list and click the "End Now" button. This might work on NT also, but I don't have an NT box here right now to test it on.

I fixed these two bugs today and replaced the installation package with the updated executable files.

http://spadfest.rcspads.com/albums/Matr ... _Beta1.zip

I added the Matrix V1 files from the '06 LSN meet to the package.
I also added a version.txt and updated the readme.
I had to change the interface because I inadvertantly got it larger than 800x600.

Chunk,

I tried it out for everyone pre-registered to the Bushwacked 06 in West palm Beach, and I have 2 frequency conflicts. 2 people are on 15 and 2 are on 23. It forces me to have 3 heats. it should only be forcing 2 heats. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I can email you the pilot/ freq file.

Thanks, it certainly is starting to look sweeeeeeet.

Thanks Drew - I found it. It was an easy one to find.

Bug #3 - Freq Conflict check will return 3 for only 2 conflicts i.e. two people on the same channel.

Work Around - NONE

DOH!!!!

Thanks Chunk

I tried to do it with no conflicts ( I changed to 2 guys with conflicts to non conflicting freqs) and it forced me into 2 heats.

Looking forward to a fix of that.

It doesn't make any sense to have less than two heats. Defaulting to a minimum of two heats is normal behavior. If you have only one heat, then just print the pilots list. :D
