Post by Lee Liddle »

Here`s my newest 2548-E
A P-39 in Russian markings and Winter cammo.

I`m working on a new power system with some stuff out of Hong Kong.

This is a $40 motor and $30 esc. I`m waiting on some new batteries, but initial testing looks good.

I`m talking about a 2548 power system that basicly costs the same as what we are spending on 3696 for the motor and esc. The battery cost per flight will be about $80 if the batts that I have comming work out. They will be 6s 3200`s.

Well Lee, the weather forecast for Sa* * * *ay is definitely
"Ostfront", so I've had to reschedule for Bodenplotte for Feb 17th. I think white on white would not work too well. Good luck on your test flights!

Hi everybody! I'm new in a R/C combat. Please take it easy on me!This is my first combat airplane "Surflite" P-39 .
I have some questions. Should i cut the wings to 48 inches, and can i use a 3-blade prop but the same size 10x4?

3.2.4 Propellers....unmodified APC 10x3 or MAS 10x4...

How long are the wings now? If you cut them will it "effectively represent a World War 2 fighter/fighter bomber on the Approved Aircraft List"?

An inch off each end might be okay but it is at the CDs discretion.

The 3.2.4 reference is right out of the 2548 rule book - you have 2 prop choices - those listed.

Prop parameters plus RPM is power restriction, isn't it?

As a mater of fact what is a reason to cancel three-blade prop?

What if somebody like to fly real scale model? (I mean with three-blade prop).

WWII prototype use to have 3 blades prop (p51D is exertion)

a 3 blade prop in my opinion is not a good idea for planes with no landing gear.
