3696 roll call-what's been built so far?

Post by Rabbit Leader »

I'm just curious as to what has been built so far, so I thought I'd start a list of flyable aircraft, and works in progress...

Here's my list:
Macchi 202-Scrounged from old Warbirds LTD glass fuse and Lee Liddle wing cores
Image
Yak-3-Built partially from Gus morfis plans and my twisted imagination
Image
Brewster Buffalo-my design from a 3-view by Ed Kettler, cores cut by Scott Stockwell
Image
Bearcat-awaiting FCF (test flight)-conversion of old Warzone Models kit

More to come..[:D]

One P-38

All fly great. All (except the P-38) have seen streamer action and have been crashed or mid-aired or both. All are still in good shape, but not all have gear in them right now.

I've got a ME-109 about ready to fly, but am trying to recover from back surgery and will be grounded for a while longer. Hopefully will be ready to go for the LSN.

Locked and Loaded:
One P-40D slightly oversize wing area (test plane)
One P-40C totally spec and flies awesome, even at altitude

Still in the hangar
One P-40C almost ready

My brother Vic (who never sems to post here) has a jj P-51 built and sort-of test flown.

Several P-51 / Pxx kits in the hands of CO builders who should be posting pics any day now!!! and a couple more setups on the way.

All jj kits (hunks of foam)

I also received a JJ short kit. I am waffling between making it a Sea Fury or a Typhoon. Or may an F8F, or an F6F, or an I-80, or ...

I have all the equipment I just gotta make up my mind and build it.

Hat Trick has built a P-51D. Not sure if it has been flown yet.

On my P40 the front scoop is functional for cooling the ESC. If Hattrick has something similar with his setup, he may be a little nervous about landing on all that fine white "sand" laying on the ground by him. At out Polar Fly (Jan 1st) i made one landing a bit nose down and had to rush to blow out the snow before it melted all over the ESC.[:0]

Have 1 Sea Fury currently being built and a Hawker Typhoon on the drawing boards (should start this towards the end of February).

In the end, my planes won't count for much seeing I'm so far away from the action, but I will make the cad files available if someone would like them. I'll have to combat vicariously through others.

Lee,

Kids dropped the camera but I will see what I can do. I would hate to see Cash suffer.
