Eric on the cover of MA

Post by ZenManiac »

Congrats to Eric Gilkey, who made the cover of this month's MA! [:D]

I sorta feel sorry for him, though -- reaching the peak of R/C Combat notoriety at the age of 12, he only can look forward to a lifetime of diminishing fame. While I, on the other hand, can only improve! [;)]

Good going, Eric!

Here is the picture of the cover. We have alot of people at the AMA that were very happy with the RC Combat Nats this year and hope that we will continue to have a good contest. Jay Smith that wrote the article really had some good things to talk about when it came to combat. I talked to him about a month ago when he was talking about the cover and I had to get him some information about Eric. I ended up calling Scott to get the information so that they would have it really fast since they were in the final stage of getting it to the printing.

Very cool, very very cool....

Smoking your older brother with the Hollywood press...

Who's getting all the hot chicks now ehhh??

Brian doesn't realize it, but he is quickly becomming yesterdays news...

(just fuel for the brotherly relationship! LOL)

The only thing they could have done better is to have the two brothers side by side with a blur of their father in the background fixing a plane.... The Two Knights and their trusty hunchback pitman..

Damn, I'm laughing now...

I just noticed that one of the mainstays of RC Combat, Lou Melancon, also has a picture in that issue of MA. Not of himself, but of his "Swoose" in the Focal Point of the magazine on p81.

A mighty fine looking plane, Lou!
