Somebody has gotten ready for battle. The Blue & Yellow planes (falcons I think) look very nice and best of all they look ready for all the fun. Best of luck on your season opener gents. Hope you have a great time.

LSN 2010 is almost here! The long range weather guessers have prognosticated the following:

Friday: 67F, Sunny, wind NW 13-15 < - Scale events
Saturday:69F, sunny, wind N 11 < - SSC
Sunday: 71, sunny, NW 15 <- Open B < - updated

I will have to travel on Sunday, and Roy Appleton has graciously volunteered to CD for me.

We'll all miss you guys too. It's sort of an annual "treat" for us to have Team Scharnell come to North Texas and fly with us. Best Wishes to all of you, and we hope to see you again soon.

I got up this morning to 5-6" of snow, but I am warmed by the thought of 3 days of combat in 60-70 degree weather coming up next weekend! :D

I must have biased the weather because I ordered 24 rolls forestry tape!

Its going to be great, so if you are holding out tho check the weather, come on down!

The long range weather guessers have blessed us with wonderful prognostications:

Fri Mar 27 Partly Cloudy High: 79° Low: 50° Precip: 10%
Sat Mar 28 Sunny High: 75° Low: 52° Precip: 0%
Sun Mar 29 Sunny High: 78°Low: 51° Precip: 0%

All you pasty faced Yankees need to dig your planes out of the snow banks and get to Texas for wonderful weather, great competition, good fun, and a spectacular sun tan to amaze the chicks back home![:D]

Just wanted to remind Ed of last years forcast where we saw SNOW on Saturday.

Friday: Tech at 11:00, Pilot meeting at noon, 2548 starts at 12:15. 3696 will be flown afterwards.
Saturday: Tech at 9:00, pilot meeting 9:45, SSC starts at 10:00
Sunday: Tech at 8:00, pilot meeting 8:45, Open B at 9

My call for SSC on Saturday still stands, as it looks like it will be windy on Sunday. Bring sunscreen!

Good luck to everyone at the LSN this year! May you all have fun and enjoy the competition safely! Go for the gusto and take no prisoners! Wish I could be there but it's not doable in 2010, alas!
