The price is right (compared to Hitecs) at $40.80 for four!
Has anyone tried these as a substitute for Hitec HS82/85MGs?

With Hitec service no longer being what it was I think I'd like to try something a little (lot?) cheaper.

Re: Corona servos
Haven't tried that one. the price is right but I'd be careful where you put something with less than standard torque (42 oz @4.8V) Here is what we found for about $20.00 ea. Metal gear, ball bearing, and get this..75 oz. torque at 4.8V.
Mighty Micro 2BB MG

Pros. High torque, "Loud" metal gears(easy to locate in the jungle by wiggling the sticks) Good price.
The horns are a little brittle(the weakest link on this servo), Farley short lead, Rotation a little less.(made up for by torque) Not as light as some micro servos.(it's all there)

Re: Corona servos
David, I have been using Hitec HS82MGs in a dual servo aileron configuration for a couple of years. At 39 oz/in on 4.8volts, they are 3oz/in less than Hitec HS85MGS which I have been using for over five years now. I did not notice any difference between the two.
These Coronas are 1 oz/in less that the Hitec HS82MGS and half the price (1/3 of the price of HS85MGs!)
Perhaps I would run them at 6V instead of 4.8?
Was hoping someone could give me a report on whether they stand up.
Thanks for the link though!

Re: Corona servos
Keith, I find the ones that David pointed out to stand up extreamly well. I've been using them exclusivly in my scale planes and on elevator on all other planes for over 2 years now and haven't lost a one.
