Scorekeeper gets a haircut

Post by Web-Pilot »

March 19, 2010, Castle Rock Colorado

RH, Scorekeeper Randy Hodges gets a haircut!

The story: St Baldrick's organization http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants ... tid/390231 collects money to fund research for treatments and cures for childhood cancers. This year Randy collected donations for St Baldrick's and after 5 years of no haircuts, got his head shaved to help cure kids cancer. This is a very worth while cause! As of this time, Randy has collected $1015 for research on childhood cancers. As part of Team Kerr he helped to raise over $4000 toward the cause. Please join me in congratulating Randy on his outstanding effort to help children the world over. Donations are still being accepted, so if you care to donate, you may do so using the link above.

Thanks,
George

This was quite an event! I always said I would do something with my hair to benefit a cause and I can't think of a better one than childrens' cancer research! It was a real humbling experience and I look forward to doing it again.

Well Bob, with this B&B night job I have there isn't much time left in the day to prepare a combat fleet or to do much traveling BUT we are getting better at it and I have found a little time to fly some foamys in the school parking lot across the street. So as we get even better at it I may just be able to make a meet one of these days. I sur ehope so :)

Looks like scoresheet would be as follows; Launch on time, 20 pts. flew entire round 20 pts. cuts, 400 pts streamer 0 pts.

Final score: Hairdresser 440 pts.
Hodges -25 pts for non engagement.

Send that in for NPS and be sure to write legibly!

We miss seeing you at the Nat's Randy. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!

If you need to keep you thumbs from rusting Realflight G5 has a streamer combat option. The foamies fly pretty much like an open design and the P-51 flies pretty much like the 2948 planes. I host at the Santa Clara field a game list called "chasing tail". I try to fire up the computer about 7pm Eastern. Don Grissom has stopped by when he gets time.
