P-40 Warhawk

Post by combatgoblin »

Below I am listing a link to the P-40 I just finished it looks unfinished and it is.I will try to get the maiden voyage tomorrow
and after its flown I will clean it up and finish it.Don't tell Cris Handeguard I am modify his KI-43 wings to make P-40's.This is
my first attempt at a P-40 and it was way to hard to build for a combat airplane the next one will be much easier to build. It is
made from plans of Gus Morfis P-40 blown up to a 48" span I made the canopy from a one time mold covered with epoxy glas
it is a little bit old school with wood in the cowling and frame and and new school with blue foam throughout.

I mounted my engine upright when I built my P-40. I even modified a great planes corsair by mounting it upright. I just didn't want the aggravation of trying to start the plane inverted to make starting easier. Hope it works for you Don.
