12 Ply Finnish Birch Plywood

Post by Dane McGee »

Heads up: I've just started using 12 ply Finnish Birch plywood which is about 1/4" thickness for firewalls and the ply tongue on my wings. I chose the "FINNISH BIRCH PLY 1/4 X 16X48"

This stuff is much stronger than hobby ply and should help with breakage. Harner and crew have been using the stuff for the tongue in their makos and says it will not fail.

I ordered it from Aircraft Spruce ..........http://www.aircraftspruce.com/menus/wp/plywood.html
