Me 163

Post by Timo »

Last weekend I flew the first heats with my new Me 163 (in Germany, ACES aircombat rules). If there's interest, I can put contest pictures online, too.
1/12 with an electric 3530-1400 motor and a 3S2200 battery, weight is about 700 grams. The model is build from wood. These flights were to test the plane and equipment. For the next contests I will use a 3S3000 to reach the 7 minutes flight time.

It was great fun to fly with such an unusual model. And it did quiet well. It is fast but manouverable, easy to start and land. But making cuts is very difficult, since I can cut the streamers only with the propeller. But we will se, the contest season has just begun.

Greetings, Timo

Flying pictures are from the last training flights. I haven't got pictures from the contest yet.
